
VLADIMIR ANGELOV
Graduated in 1986 from the National School of Dance Arts in Sofia. He danced in the ballet “Arabesque” and studied philosophy part-time at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ochridsky”. In 1990, he went to the USA, where in 1996 he graduated with a Master of Arts from the American University in Washington, majoring in “Contemporary Choreography”.
Vladimir Angelov has created numerous contemporary ballet productions and works with American companies such as Atlanta Ballet, Arizona Ballet, Indianapolis Ballet, Richmond Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Washington Ballet, as well as with international companies such as Alberta Ballet – Canada, Manila Ballet – Philippines, National Ballet of Mexico, National Ballet of Finland, Tokyo City Ballet – Japan, and the Mariinsky Ballet in St. Petersburg, Russia.
From 2003 to 2009, he was the principal choreographer-ballet master of the Washington National Opera at the Kennedy Center under the direction of Plácido Domingo, and he worked directly with the world-famous tenor, who conducts some of the productions. From 2009 to 2014, he worked as a lecturer at the American University and George Washington University in Washington, he continued to actively travel and perform internationally. Since 2015, he has been the Director and CEO of the world’s first International Choreographers, Organization and Network Services for based in Washington, DC, USA – Dance ICONS, Inc.
